Exploring the Internet
by

A fun way to surf is by using one or more of the Internet Site Seeing sites that are usually newsletters. My first experience was with
Internet Tour Bus . Its fun, educational and has a free twice weekly newsletter with what's hot and new online plus great tech tips. I still subscribe after all these years online.
Another way to find your own special topic newsletters like Internet Tour Bus is to go to
Google and input your own queries. I use this format to suggest what to input, just copy / paste the query and leave out the quotation marks: " internet newsletters. " There are dozens, hundreds maybe millions of very focused newsletters with links galore.
For a terrific newsletter about Internet research click here: ResearchBuzz . Sign up for Tara Calishain's always interesting updates about the hows of Internet research, what is new and some very funny Internet Research Humor.
This new sites newsletter is also free and published by a qualified librarian: librarian without walls. I just signed up.
Internet Scout is for VERY serious researchers.
You can just click links and surf that way or goto
Google type in any general query and click I'm Feeling Lucky.
You can also pursue queries through a visual search engine I mentioned in another tutorial,
Quintura Visual Search .
Surfing can be fun and a conversation starter as well. Keep those surf boards safe and in good shape. "Surfs up," 24/7 .
